Leading voices of cinema and culture in Latin America come together to reflect about their own methods and processes to confront the trade, talk about their personal and intimate experiences and debate on films and filmmakers that have influenced or inspired their work.
The two seasons of Encuentros are made up of informal conversations, put together in episodes of approximately 1 hour, in a space where one can speak freely, and deep conversations between colleagues take place.
It is the invitation to be part of an encounter between two people who share their love for cinema.

Created and produced by entrepreneur, researcher, and media artist Daniel Landau and composer/sound artist Andres Solis, PLANETA KENNEL is a video piece in a crossover project between Landau´s "Grid City" performance (a unique mixed media platform, fusing installation art, character animation, documentary film and live action) and DAM´s "Altenative Sessions" project with the Marteen Altena Ensemble.
The piece has had numerous presentations in Europe and the Americas, premiered at the RADAR festival as part of Mexico City´s "Festival de México en el Centro Histórico" in April of 2003.
PLANETA KENNEL reveals its sordid nature through the conjunction of surveillance footage and designed realities, exposing iconic figures in a post-realistic behavioural endeavour. A place where desire and fear collide into poetic encounters in the peripheries of a hyper-futuristic dystopia. You can watch the video in the video section of this site.
